Introduce yourself to the Salesfolks Community. Where are you from? How long have you been in sales? What is your sales role? What are you looking to get from and contribute to the community?
Hi everyone! I’m Amanda from the Chicago area. I got my start in education before making the jump into sales, and it ended up being one of the best career decisions I’ve made. Over the past few years, I’ve worked in Inside Sales and Client Relations roles, focusing on prospecting, account management, relationship building, and driving new business. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, solving problems, and chasing big goals, which is probably why sales feels like such a natural fit for me.
I joined Salesfolks because I’m always looking to learn from people who are pushing themselves to be better. I love talking sales strategy, prospecting, objection handling, and what’s actually working in today’s market. I’m competitive, highly coachable, and motivated by metrics, but I also believe a positive attitude and strong relationships are what create long-term success.
I’m hoping to gain new ideas, perspectives, and connections from this community, and I’m happy to share my own experiences around outbound sales, account growth, staying motivated, and consistently exceeding targets. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Welcome to the Salesfolks community, Amanda! Your background in education likely gave you a great foundation for sales—especially when it comes to listening, communicating clearly, adapting your approach, and helping people solve problems.
It sounds like you’ve built a strong combination of outbound prospecting, account management, and client relationship experience. I also appreciate your emphasis on being competitive and metrics-driven without losing sight of the relationships that create lasting success.
We’re glad to have you here. I’m curious: what type of sales role, industry, or opportunity are you hoping to pursue next?

Salesfolks
Hi Lief!
Thank you for your response, I am happy to be here and I think this is such a great platform for sales professionals to connect!
For my next role, Im looking for a position where I can leverage my strengths in prospecting, relationship building, and closing, as well as the possibility for upward mobility within the company. I thrive in fast-paced environments that value a strong hunter mentality, coachability, and consistent activity metrics, as well as performance driven compensation. Ideally, I’d like to continue growing as an Account Executive or Territory Manager, where I can generate pipeline through high outbound activity, continue to exceed revenue targets, and build lasting customer relationships while contributing to a high-performing team.
Lief,
Would love to learn more about this role. I have 7 years of experience as a server and bartender, so I have spent lots of time working with breweries and distilleries, as well as interacting with other professionals in the restaurant industry. I see you mentioned high level of outbound activity, which is an area I excel in-I consistently led the KPI chart in both of my roles!
